"Students treated to shopping spree"
The Active 20-30 Club of Redding treated 25 students to a back-to-school shopping spree at Old Navy in the Mt. Shasta Mall Sunday.
The Redding School District students were treated to refreshments and a scavenger hunt around the mall before the spree began.
Each child got a $100 gift card from the Active 20-30 Club for new clothes, and they were teamed with a member of the club and an Old Navy employee to help pick out new school gear.
Anand "Lucky" Jesrani, chairman for the shopping spree, said the group hopes to make it an annual event. "It was a great event that truly benefited the children of the Redding community," he said.
